June 8 is World Oceans Day 2017, with the theme of Our Oceans, Our Future.  We wanted to reaffirm our commitment to our #SustainableComputing initiative, focusing on moving developing economies to sustainable technologies and industries in an effort to save the oceans and coral reefs.

We want to make it abundantly clear that no matter what position or policies our government takes regarding the environment, we stand with many other American businesses in our acknowledgement that the overwhelming body of evidence clearly shows our planet and its oceans in crisis.  We continue to pursue our efforts with the understanding that each and every one of us must do our part to take any actions, no matter how small, to help our planet.  On this World Oceans Day 2017, we reach out to you to find your role in this vital effort.  And we commit to providing any support in helping you and the global community to the end of protecting our oceans, our world, and humanity’s future survival.

The conservation action focus for World Oceans Day 2017 is to help end plastic pollution and preventing marine litter.  This is an effort all of us can easily work towards.  Remember that no matter where you live, pollution remains a constant threat to all vital bodies of water.   Find resources at: http://www.worldoceansday.org/plastic-pollution-resources

80% of plastic trash in the ocean came from dry land
