Today is Data Privacy Day, originally and still commemorated in Europe as Data Protection Day. And today would be a good day to raise awareness of an issue that we deal with on a daily basis…the online threats to everyone’s privacy, security, and online safety.
In the nine years since the first Data Protection Day, much has changed. Not only in terms of technology, but also in terms of the widespread use and essential nature of all manner of computing devices throughout more and more aspects of our daily lives.
Data privacy and protection are crucial, not only from the perspective of the businesses and people we work with, but for people in all walks of life throughout the world. Because of the digital nature of the financial, entertainment, healthcare, and other aspects of our lives, even someone who has never touched a computer or used a mobile phone is impacted.
At Banshee Cloud, we are committed to the computing empowerment of businesses and organizations of all sizes, plus the belief that every single person should benefit from these powerful technologies.
And so, as part of our ongoing dedication to the promotion of online safety and computing security, we use this day to strengthen our resolve and help everyone stay safe and secure. Follow our blog to get practical information as we share many of the things we have learned from our continuing work in this area. Visit http://t2d.la/security to get the latest updates!
We already see how the growing number and level of attacks threatens our clients and we will be posting more information between now and the upcoming Safer Internet Day on February 9, 2016. And unfortunately, we will probably need to be posting more online safety information for quite some time.
